Sleek Edge was founded by Sam from a lifelong passion for creativity and a desire to bring something more refined, inclusive, and empowering to the world of figure skating.

With a background in Art & Design, I have always been drawn to creating whether through colour, texture, or form. That creative foundation naturally evolved into designing and making garments, where artistry meets movement and we have now been creating for skater for over half a decade.

I began figure skating as an adult, performing in the odd Christmas shows and experiencing first-hand the confidence that a beautiful costume can bring. Alongside skating, I also perform in dance shows hosted for charity, which has given me a deeper understanding of the performance side of costume and how a garment needs not only to look beautiful, but to move with the body, feel secure, and enhance confidence on stage or on the ice.

However, I quickly noticed a gap, many dresses available felt overly juvenile and weren’t designed with adult bodies in mind. There was very little that felt elegant, flattering, and truly representative of the skater wearing it.

Sleek Edge was created to change that.

Every dress is designed with a focus on inclusivity, body confidence, and individuality. I believe that every skater deserves to feel powerful, comfortable, and completely themselves regardless of age, shape, or size.

Each piece is thoughtfully crafted to enhance movement, flatter the body, and support performance, ensuring you not only look incredible, but feel confident every time you step onto the ice. From initial concept through to the final rhinestone, the process is deeply personal and detail-driven.
